15th April - Droop Snoot Group AGM

Due to the first race being less than a week away and me working on the car flat out I could only attend the AGM briefly.

As ever it was held at Motorbodies in Luton and there was the usual fanatastic array of Snoots, HSR Chevettes, and Firenzas and Magnums in the car park.  I made it just in time to grab a quick cuppa and biscuit before the end of the lunch break and then sat in on the AGM.

The DSG very kindly presented me with a cheque to help out with the car, brilliant.  It was a lovely touch and something that I wasn't expecting at all and every little helps.

Before the AGM finished I asked that if anyone was interested to see the Droop Snoot and the white Firenza then they were more than welcome to come back, boy was I shocked!!  We had eleven cars come back, which amounted to about 25 people!  Luckily I had pre-warned Peter and he was pleased to actually see a car running around the farm for a change!!

Luton Festival of Transport - 10th June

What a great day, highly recommended.  The festival was held at Stockwood Park in Luton and was brillaint, hundreds of cars and motorcylcles and military vehicles.

There were also lots of stalls with people selling all sorts of weird and wonderful car related goods, I picked up a few bargains.  The Vauxhall Heritage centre was also open, with a free bus service from the Stockwood Park to the centre.

I had a great day, got very sunburnt and met lots of interesting people and friends.  Looking forward to next year.

Total Vauhall/Bill Blydenstein Photo Shoot - 11th November 2007

A few pictures from the photo shoot arranged by Total Vauxhall for an upcoming artilce on Bill Blydenstein's Vauxhall career.  Unfortunately I was unable to take my racecar but it was good to dust Old Nail off and get her out in the open for some shots.

When the article appears on the news stands I'll advise.
